The Adeptus Custodes are an army unlike any other. Each member would be considered a mighty hero by lesser warriors, capable of besting entire units or even armies of weaker foes. The Adeptus Custodes are towering champions clad in gleaming auramite who will protect the Emperor at any cost. With bodies and minds honed through ancient secrets of gene-alchemy and wielding individually crafted weapons of incredible potency, even a small band of these terrifying exemplars can carve a bloody path through hordes of foes. They fight side by side upon the battlefield with the cold-eyed witch seekers of the Sisters of Silence. Theirs is an eternal war, for the threats to the Master of Mankind are manifold and spread across the stars, but they wage it with breathtaking skill and ferocity, for to falter is to doom all of Humanity.
Devoted to endless slaughter, the World Eaters are fanatical worshippers of Khorne – led by their bestial Daemon Primarch, Angron. These fearsome Space Marines are augmented by strange devices known as the Butcher’s Nails, which are embedded in their brainstems and hammer relentlessly at their minds, driving them to deeds of unmatched brutality. The Nails push their wearers to madness, compounded over many millennia by the influence of the warp and the macabre rituals of the World Eaters Legion.
Scions of their Primarch Angron, Daemon Prince of Khorne, the World Eaters were amongst the most feared of the Space Marines Legions to turn traitor during the brutal civil war known as the Horus Heresy. The World Eaters long held a reputation for wanton savagery, and as they fell to the powers of Chaos, they devolved into warbands of blood-crazed maniacs dedicated to the Taker of Skulls, glorying in violence and slaughter, and with no other purpose than spilling blood in their deity's name.
All dread the coming of the Blades of Khorne – an unholy alliance of mortals and daemons for whom war is an act of worship. These maddened warbands leave no survivors in their wake, making them instead an offering to their bloodthirsty god. In return, Khorne grants them strength and resilience so that they may reap even more skulls for his Skull Throne.
Realmgore Ritualists curse both the enemies of Khorne and the land itself. These bloody-handed mystagogues lay blasphemous hexes upon the foe to sap their strength, and carve bleeding runes into the very earth, invoking gorey miracles and auras of rage that drive their allies to commit relentless acts of sacred violence.
Howling like maddened beasts, the Blades of Khorne hurl themselves upon their prey. These savage killers seek to honour the Blood God by drowning the Mortal Realms in a tide of gore. Armies of scarred and wild-eyed mortals fight alongside daemons born of primal fury, surging forth as one vast and unstoppable red tide. Those in the path of this calamity are swiftly hacked and hewn apart, their severed heads held aloft as offerings to the Lord of Skulls.

For ten thousand years he has savaged the Imperium, fury given immortal form, the butchers of the XII Legion following in his bloody wake. When he steps forth into realspace, Angron is an unstoppable engine of destruction with the strength to tear apart bastions with his bare hands and stop Titans in their tracks. Lord Invocatus is a master of swift raids, devastating counter-attacks, and relentless hit-and-run strategies. Also known as Khorne's Thunderbolt, this born marauder thunders through the air as if riding across solid ground, mounted on his massive juggernaut, Khal’guruth. Devoted above all to the Blood God's service, Lord Invocatus leads his warbands from one battlefield to the next with supernatural speed, seeking always to spill as much blood as he can.
