As the battles under the Gnarlwood intensify, warbands struggle to establish control over even the smallest areas of the rootmaze. A canny strategist knows that the answer lies in doughty fortifications - so their warriors rig unclaimed territory with traps and build up walls into an unbreachable bastion, even as the enemy approaches. The most successful combat engineers may even claim the title of Castellan of the Fearsome Fortress!
Grinkrak and his Looncourt are an unusual warband, to say the least. Weighing in at seven models, they’re one of the largest warbands in the game, making them ideal for board control and overwhelming your opponent. By undertaking Quests - objectives unique to this warband - fighters can earn glory points and become Inspired at the same time. This set includes a full Rivals deck to use straight out of the box, and the models are all easy to build - so you can get playing nice and quick.
The Mortal Realms are vast beyond imagining, and so much of their seemingly endless expanse remains unexplored and untamed. For centuries this was true of the Gnarlwood – a vast forest that lies in the Realm of Beasts. The gnarloaks that grow here are capable of uprooting themselves to hunt for prey – now warbands are plunging deep below the canopy of the trees, to challenge their rivals and fight for ancient secrets left buried beneath the soil.
Skittershank’s Clawpack and the Shadeborn take their shadowy battles out of the Nethermaze and into Ghur, the Realm of Beasts. Originally available in the Warhammer Underworlds: Nethermaze Core Set, this kit contains the miniatures and fighter cards for both warbands, as well as a complete Rivals deck of 32 cards for each. It’s a fantastic way to expand your collection with two amazing warbands – and you can even add the miniatures to your Warhammer Age of Sigmar armies.
The Gorechosen of Dromm offer a ritualistic approach to the violent worship of Khorne. The warband claims blood tithe tokens by dealing and suffering damage throughout the battle, then expends them to fuel powerful abilities – such as Dromm's unique Enrage action, which can send friend and foe charging across the Nethermaze in a frenzy. This box includes a complete Rivals deck, plus loads of extra cards allowing you to try out a few tricks, as well as universal cards and Grand Alliance cards to use with your other warbands.
Haskel Hexbane and his band of mirthless followers are as ruthless as they are determined. They are members of the Order of Azyr, a Sigmarite organisation dedicated to the rooting out and purging of evil across the Mortal Realms. This clandestine sect has sent Hexbane and his hunters deep within the Nethermaze to bring the burning light of Azyr to the very heart of that foul and unnatural place, that they might scour it in the cleansing fires of justice and Order.
The Exiled Dead are aggressive, but flexible enough to keep your opponents on their toes and play for objectives. Once you get your shambling fighters into a good position, they’ll be tough to tackle. To this end, Deintalos has an ability that will keep them all moving, activating multiple Arcwalkers at once. This box includes a complete Rivals deck, plus loads of extra cards allowing you to try out a few tricks, as well as universal cards and Grand Alliance cards to use with your other warbands.
Da Kunnin’ Krew and Xandire’s Truthseekers are ready to move out of the fathomless depths of Harrowdeep and delve into the abyssal Nethermaze. Originally available in the Warhammer Underworlds: Harrowdeep Core Set, this kit contains the miniatures and fighter cards for both warbands, as well as a complete Rivals deck of 32 cards for each. It’s a fantastic way to expand your collection with two fun warbands – and you can even add the miniatures to your Warhammer Age of Sigmar armies.
The Slann Starmasters of the Seraphon foresaw danger in Beastgrave. Unchallenged, the corrupting presence of Chaos would transform the mountain into a colossal demigod whose power would wreak havoc across Ghur and beyond. To prevent this from coming to pass, the Slann sent a hunting party of skinks into the mountain, bolstered by the Saurus Oldblood Klaq-Trok.
