They unleash this eldritch force in deadly waves, corrupting and mutating those nearby, and incinerating distant foes with blasts of volkite energy. In combat they thrash coiling, warp-wrought appendages, crushing anything that remains untainted.
The Adeptus Mechanicus march to war as a disturbing fusion of flesh and machine, ruling Tech-Priests and fanatical cyborg followers raising modified voices in binharic praise of the Machine God. Purge Corps Deltic-9 are equipped to scour the contamination of enemy presence from locations of strategic or exploratory importance, employing cybernetic speed and terrifying weapons. Cavalry and winged Pteraxii unleash gouts of purging flame, before radioactive Skitarii bring up the rear to reclaim whatever remains.
War Dog-class Knights act as hunting packs for their Dread Household. Armed with an eclectic array of weaponry, these nimble combat walkers range ahead of the terrible shadow cast by larger Knights, picking off enemy outriders and guarding the flanks of their colossal masters. Among these vicious engines, War Dog Karnivores revel in causing bloody confusion and despair, and eschew more potent ranged weapons to seek the visceral thrill that only close-quarters slaughter provides.
To be promoted from the Skitarii maniples to the Serberys corps is a great honour. They ride swift quadrupedal constructs whose razor-clawed limbs allow them to manoeuvre easily over the most shattered terrain, while their riders are mag-locked in gyro-stabilised positions
