Nighthaunt: Myrmourn Banshees
The Myrmourn banshees have a diabolical hunger, for they feast solely upon magic. No enemy spell is safe from the ravenous spirits, and they haunt the Mortal Realms in search of arcane energies to consume.

Cairn Wraiths are amongst the most powerful of the Undead. Though they lack physical form, their touch drains the life of a mortal. Their very presence fills the air with dread, and most who face them are driven mad with fear long before they are killed.
Tomb Banshees are apparitions of revenge and retribution. For countless lifetimes, these fell spirits have dwelt upon the dark deed that robbed them of vitality, love or contentment, becoming bitter and hate-filled.
Prince Apophas is the Cursed Scarab Lord, a damned spectre who terrorises the battlefield in the form of swarming scarab beetles surrounding his sun-bleached skull. This remorseless killer still grips the very blade he used to slit the throats of his own family, a deed which saw him condemned by Usirian, the Nehekharan god of the underworld.
The Dreadblade Harrows are the officers beneath the Knights of Shrouds. In life, each of these wights watched their leader’s betrayal, neither helping nor hindering.
A landscape cursed by the nefarious machinations of the dread necromancer Nagash, the realm of Nehekhara, once known as the Great Land thanks to its long-enduring prosperity, is now the domain of the dead. This accursed land is ruled over by the ancient Tomb Kings and their legions of dread skeletal warriors.
Choking the air above the Nighthaunt host are the most numerous of its warriors - the Spirit Hosts. These are the souls of the damned, stripped of body and identity, and they scream endlessly for the life they have lost.
It is the Tidecasters who conjure the phantasmal sea that allows aelf and aquatic beast to move and breathe as if they were in their own natural environment.
The Scriptors Mortis record the rise of Nagash’s empire and punish any who would stand against it. With a mere flick of a quill, they sentence souls to be dragged to the underworlds, condemning them to an eternity of torment. It is said that the quill is mightier than the sword – in the spiteful scribblings of the Scriptors Mortis, this metaphor is made real.
Krulghast Cruciators were once mortals that met a gruesome end on the torture rack. In death, their bitter souls have been twisted by Nagash into ghastly manifestations of torment, replete with instruments of excruciation possessed of a wicked animus.
From the arid deserts of ancient Nehekhara, vast legions of skeletal soldiers heed the commands of their kings and the incantations of their hierophants, rising up from beneath the baking sands to slaughter those that would claim the distant reaches of their forgotten empire.
The most numerous of all the spirits that join Nighthaunt processions are the Chainrasp Hordes. These gheists are created from the spirits of the most vicious and irredeemable criminals to have lived in the Mortal Realms.
