Trugg is the mightiest of all troggoths. A towering mass of strength and ill temper, he carries atop his back an arcane leystone of ancient design, which fuels his already formidable physical might with unpredictable bursts of elemental magic. In his wake follows a troggherd of unmatched size, shaking the very realms as they wander from leyline to leyline, wrecking everything in their wake.
Terminator Squads go to battle clad in Tactical Dreadnought armour – a marvel of technology that enables its wearer to survive almost anything, from the stresses of teleportation to earth-shaking artillery bombardments. These elite Space Marines stride inexorably across the field or simply appear in a crackle of teleportation energy, shrugging off enemy attacks as they unleash a steady barrage of return fire.
Sternguard Veterans possess an unshakeable calm and are renowned amongst their brothers for their exemplary marksmanship in the fiercest battles. Proficient in all of the Chapter’s ranged weaponry, they can always be found where their pinpoint volleys will best shatter the foe.
Veteran squig-herders who muster ravening packs of cave-beasts, Squigbosses don’t so much command their fungal herds as offer incentives of potent mushrooms, balanced by occasional jabbings from their squig-krooks. Most go to battle accompanied by loyal Gnasha-squigs, who gleefully chomp at anything that gets too close – this predatory pet is often their closest friend, for other grots find anyone that even a squig won't eat to be deeply suspect.
The Space Marines are the Emperor’s will made manifest. They are his Angels of Death, and for ten thousand years, the Space Marine Chapters have been Humanity’s shield and sword in the face of the horrors that beset it. These genetically enhanced super-soldiers are among the greatest warriors to have ever existed, and their fast-moving spearhead forces employ high-speed tactics to strike like an armoured thunderbolt.
When a Chaplain takes to the field on a Raider-pattern bike, he is able to keep pace with even the swiftest armoured advance or spearhead breakthrough. Fighting in such an action, he will urge his brothers to victory as he bellows his catechisms and charges headlong into the foe, crozius arcanum swinging.
Ancients bear a Space Marine Chapter’s precious standards. These glorious relics have been present in some of the Chapter’s most notable battles, their finely worked designs commemorating countless campaigns and heroic deeds.
Hammerfall Bunkers are launched from Space Marine warships in the same manner as Drop Pods. Automated area-denial assets crewed by hard-wired servitors, they have all kinds of battlefield roles, including securing beachheads, hampering enemy assaults and wreaking havoc behind the foe's lines.
Assault Intercessors are amongst the most widespread close-support units in a Chapter's arsenal. Firing their heavy bolt pistols as they close upon the foe, they charge into the fray, where they make short work of their enemies with brutal swings of their chainswords.
The Vindicator is a Rhino-based siege tank that boasts the most devastating weapon in the Space Marines' armoury - the demolisher cannon. The demolisher cannon is the weapon of choice amongst the Imperium's armies when faced with dug-in enemy infantry in a dense environment such as a cityfight or siege.
Standing three times the height of a man, these towering war machines bear powerful weapons and are as lethal at range as in close assault. A chapter's Dreadnoughts are treasured relics, only awoken in great need.
