Codex Supplement: Space Wolves
The Space Wolves are a savage Space Marine Chapter of merciless hunters. They hail from the icy death world of Fenris and strive to emulate the strength, cunning and howling ferocity of their Primarch – Leman Russ, the Wolf King. In their pursuit of the enemies of Mankind across the Sea of Stars, the Space Wolves employ the advanced technology and deadly weapons of the Adeptus Astartes under a skin of seemingly feral barbarity.

In their pursuit of the enemies of Mankind across the Sea of Stars, the Space Wolves employ the advanced technology and deadly weapons of the Adeptus Astartes under a skin of seemingly feral barbarity. The armoured flanks of their battle tanks are inscribed with runic totems. In the glare of plasma coils glint the fangs of primitive fetishes and over power armour the colour of threatening storms are hung the pelts of alpha predators. Alongside them lope the giant wolves of their home world, and the Space Wolves take up their loud howls when the warriors' keen senses detect their quarry at last run to ground. With audacious boasts, the taking of impetuous risks and the joyful roars of warriors born, the Space Wolves are a Chapter of heroes who wage war without fear or doubt, each seeking to forge a saga worthy of immortalisation.

Operating deep within hostile territory, Scout Squads reconnoitre the enemy’s movements, set ambushes, sabotage supply lines and destroy communications centres in daring commando raids. The task of the Scouts is to strike hard and vanish before the enemy has the chance to retaliate.
Clad in Mk X Phobos-pattern armour, the light and fast-moving Primaris Infiltrators are responsible for disrupting enemy communications and sabotaging targets of opportunity. The first the enemy sees is a cascade of choking smog as the Infiltrators hurl a barrage of smoke grenades, masking their advance. As the foe peers into the swirling cloud, the Space Marines bring their targets down with disciplined bursts of fire, the augur-scopes of their marksman bolt carbines lighting each victim up for the kill.
From the frozen world of Fenris, the Space Wolves sail out across the Sea of Stars. Noble savages who disregard the teachings of the Codex Astartes in favour of the traditions laid down by their Primarch, Leman Russ. Valuing honour, courage and skill in battle above all other concepts, the Space Wolf armies are full of lone heroes, skyborne longships and tales of absolute bravery.
Hammerfall Bunkers are launched from Space Marine warships in the same manner as Drop Pods. Automated area-denial assets crewed by hard-wired servitors, they have all kinds of battlefield roles, including securing beachheads, hampering enemy assaults and wreaking havoc behind the foe's lines.
No living Iron Hand can recall a time when Feirros’ sardonic tones did not grace the Iron Council. Nor does any remember another wielding the axe Harrowhand during their Rite of Severance – the lopping of the left hand so that an augmetic fist may take its place is the moment in which a recruit truly becomes an Iron Hand.
